It’s called the most wonderful time of the year for a reason. Christmas brings joy, happiness, family, and a couple more pounds added to your body. But it is all in good fun. It’s a time to be with the people you love and to appreciate the things you have. The lights, food, and presents are just all added fun. If only it would last a little longer than a month, which is actually beginning to happen since they sell Christmas trees at Halloween. Either way, the holidays are definitely times to be enjoyed. So, here are 20 reasons why Christmas time is the best time of the year.

1. The food is obviously something that makes the season bright.

The desserts, the turkey, apple cider, hot chocolate, and the glory, Christmas food is the best food.

2. The smells are some that you will never forget -- the smell of pine, bonfire, peppermint, and joy.

3. Putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it with all your family ornaments.

It is always fun spending time with your family by setting up your Christmas tree. Those are memories to remember forever.

4. The lights around your house, your neighborhood, and around your town.

The lights keep you cheerful and bright.

The best Holiday accessory to have.
