Summertime is here, and it's time to say goodbye to your hot chocolate, warm brownies, and other 'winter type' goods. When you're hanging out in the sunshine all day and find yourself wanting a refreshing treat to satisfy yourself, here are some summer treat ideas that you'll love (and are easy to make :) )

(Makes 5 pops)
How to make them:
- Blend all of your ingredients together until smooth.
- Pour mixture into 3 oz paper cups (or a popsicle mold, if you have one).
- Let pops set up into almost firm, and then insert a popsicle stick (or an alternative) into the center.
- Continue freezing until solid.
- Gently tear off the paper cup (or take out of popsicle mold).
- Enjoy your summer treat right after, before it melts! :)

2. Make your own Snow Cones! (cr: http://www.passionforsavings.com )
Snow Cones have always been a summer favorite for all. However, they are often found containing loads of sugars and other ingredients that aren't healthy for you. Take a look at these homemade snow cones... that don't include all the bad stuff yet taste just as good ;)
You will need:
- About 8-16 cups of ice
- 1 can of frozen juice concentrate (any flavor)
How to make them:
- Begin by crushing the ice into a "snow-like consistency" by using a blender, Vitamix, or other device.
- Once your ice is a fine mixture, add in the frozen juice concentrate & mix in a little bit at a time until the juice is completely mixed in. (tip: try not to dilute the juice with water, or it'll turn into a slushy consistency rather than a snow one.)
Enjoy your summertime treat, that's perfect after being in the sun and needing something to cool you down!

3. Raspberry Peach Lemonade (cr: http://www.joyfulhealthyeats.com )
Need something to drink rather than eat? Why not put a twist on the traditional lemonade? I bring to you,
Raspberry Peach Lemonade!
You will need:
- 8 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 7 mini peaches, or 4 large peaches (peeled and sliced, pits removed)

(Makes 8-10 cups)
How to make this:
- Begin by adding the peaches, raspberries, and 1 cup of water into a blender. Blend until smooth and a liquid-like consistency.
- Pour mixture through a strainer (tip: use a spoon to push the liquid through the strainer to get as much juice as you can.)
- Take a pitcher and add the remaining 7 cups of water, your lemon juice, the sugar, and your raspberry peach mixture.
- Stir until it is mixed well, and serve with ice for a refreshing summer drink!
