Create a Chore Jar!

We all know that it's hard to stay on top of things. One of those things is cleaning, and if you have kids then you can understand that it's not easy to get them to do anything around the house. After exploring some ideas on Pinterest, today I went ahead and created a "Chore Jar" that will hopefully make the kids do chores more often.
(This blog was written by one of the daughters of the owners of PersonalizedFree.com. All of the handwriting was done in a hurry by the daughter, so don't mind the fact that some of it is sloppy - your ornaments will be done by professional hand writers that have much better handwriting :) )

All you need:
- Paper (or popsicle sticks)
- Something to write with
- Jar
- Scissors/Paper Cutter
- Washi Tape (Optional)
-
-
1) I started by taking a paper cutter and cutting off multiple strips of
paper

2) I then took a colored pen and wrote down different chore/work
ideas that would have to be done if pulled out of the jar.
Here are some ideas on chores that you can write down.
As shown in the photo below, I took extra strips of paper and wrote down chores to be done before dinner(in blue) and after dinner(in green). Later I put these in a separate, smaller jar, to be pulled out of each night before and after dinner.

3) Fold up the pieces of paper and put them into your jar.

4) This next part is optional, but I went and took some of my washi
tape and wrapped it around the tops of the jars. I love the way this
looks, because it makes the jar look more fun :)

And you're done!
I loved making this jar, and although I am going to be one of the people drawing the chores out of it, I believe that it will benefit all of us and myself, to keep things more clean and organizing around the house.
I find this way more fun and exciting, as for you don't know what you are going to draw out.
